Already broke my promise! I promised you to blog more in 2010, but I already failed. Well, I have a great reason for not blogging the past days. I failed my exams last May and I graduated yesterday! Finally! Can't wait to start with a new school, which already starts monday. I'm so excited!

I also did a little DIY project, as you can see on the pictures, just to try something. And it worked out really good, I absolutely love the result!

Really love the details on the blouse, the sailor things on the front and the ruffles on the end. This blouse gives some colour in my very black closet. And about the Q&A, I don't think I'll go on with that. Only three people asked me something, haha. I think I'm not that interesting ;)

Here the answers for the ones who did asked me something:

Fashion Nerdic: What is, in your opinion, a must-have item in your closet whish is the most versatile?
Me: Wow, that's difficult to choose. I really can't pick one item, so let's say jackets and blazers. They go with everything and are great to combinate with.

Amber: What do you do to stay in shape?
Me: To be honest, I don't work out at all! But I just registered my name at the local gym, where I want to go bodypumping. That's a kind of dancing with weights.

Candy: In which city do you live?
Me: I live in a very small village called Scherpenzeel. When I go shopping, I'll go to Arnhem, Utrecht (about 20minutes with the train for me) or Amsterdam usually. But I like to 'try' some new cities, the day before yesterday I went to Rotterdam, which is a great city to shop too!

I got this thing lately with jackets... It's just crazy! I have to have them in every colour and in different materials. Black, cream, pink, printed, leather, silk, lace... Found these two jackets on H&M.com and I immediately fell in love with them. The black one makes me think of Chanel, which is always a good thing. I placed an order a few days ago, but unfortunately H&M is very slowly... And I just ordered a leather blazer at ASOS. Leather + blazer is a great combination I think. Hope my two orders arrive soon! I'll go back to my studybooks now!

Yesterday I got a message from Neira (from Miss Neira) that I got an award on her blog, which se made herself! Isn't that amazing?

Along with the award, I have to fill in five of my favorite fashion items:

1. (leather) jackets. Simply because they match with almost everything.

2. shoulderpads. I think this might be clear with my post of today's outfit (and, of course, my shoulderpadded Zara blazer, which I wear very often)

3. heels. Just can't get enough of heels. Every girl feels great when she wears heels. I love my Sacha ones, because I can actually walk on them.

4. overknee boots. They are a bit risky and that's exactly what I like about them.

5. O.P.I. nailpolish and red lips. Especially You Don't Know Jacques! from O.P.I. and Chanel's Grenada which both match with my light skin.

New year, new style

A very little new blog style actually. The only change I made yet, is making my blog wider. Now I can post bigger and more clear pictures! I was wondering, I have a blog now for a year... It might be time to do a little Q&A, so you guys can get to know me a little better. If you want something to ask me, don't hold back and just ask me anything!

Always when I start a new year, I think back of what 2009 brought me. Actually, personally 2009 was a disaster year. But a great thing is, I develloped my own style much more. And that's why I put some outfits together, which are my favorites from 2009.

I won this amazing award from a very sweet blogger: Lost at 11! I'm really surprised and happy with this award, I never won one before!

Here the seven facts about me:
1. I think basics are very important, for fashion and for make-up.
2. I can't barely walk on high heels, which I really hate. That's why I wear my Sacha lace up booties that much, it's the only pair of heels were I actually can walk on! (shame on me, haha!)
3. I planned to go study Hotel & Catering Management, but since I visited AMFI (Amsterdam Fashion Institute) I'm doubting about my choice..
4. I have this big Zara-addiction
5. For the one's who didn't know yet: I'm going to Antwerp the 28th of December with my bf, for shopping and partying like hell!
6. When I shop with friends or my mum, I like to give them advice, which can be really anoying!
7. When people compliment me with my clothes, it can make me happy for a few days in a row!

We got up at five thirty in the morning! At seven o'clock we were in line at H&M's in Utrecht. We were numbers 85 & 86, so a lot of girls were earlier! Fortunately, we were early enough to get our bracelets, yeah! With this bracelets we got admission to the accessoiries department. At 9:30 the doors were opened and everybody screamed and ran to their goal: get as much stuff as you can! We had so much luck with our sizes! It was worth the early getting up and the money, look at my beautiful dress! I'm so happy with it! It's mine!

National glamour day

This years national glamour day is on saturday October the third. It's organized by Glamour, the magazine. I'll be leaving in the early morning with my girl to Amsterdam, to shop 'till we drop. Because I receive Glamour every month in my mailbox, I have a goldcard. With this card I can get 50% discount on the China girl collection from the great designer Darryl van Wouw. We're definately going to visit his store in Amsterdam. Another great thing, is that de Bijenkorf (a big warehouse in the Netherlands) is having their Drie Dwaze Dagen. Another event with big discounts! God, I love fashion and especially the shopping.

Golden wedding

Last saturday, my grandparents were married for fifty years! It was a bit painfull for me, 'cause I got dumped a few weeks ago and I'm still not over the guy. But I'm so proud on my grandparents and I'm sure it will last a little longer, haha. This was one big excuse for giving a party, and they did. It was so much fun, because my family from Canada came too. Enough talking, let's show the outfit!

Walibi World

Last Tuesday I went to Walibi World with my sister, her boyfriend, my niece, her boyfriend and a friend of us all. Walibi World is a park with a lot of rollercoasters and some other attractions. It was a lot of fun! And because it was a long day and I had to drive the whole way back home, I wore a simple but nice outfit.
I'm wearing a black H&M blazer, a cream Vero Moda oversized top (with a zip in the back), my favorite jeans from Hugo Boss, my very comfortable Sacha booties and my brand new bag from Gran Canaria (it's from a Spanish brand called Eferri). I'm fifth one by the way.

Last monday my mother turned fifty! She actually doesn't want to know she's fifty yet, so we didn't did things people usually do when someone turns fifty. We know she adores (and me too!) Japanese food, so we went to a Japanese resaurant in Arnhem called 'Sakura'. It was very nice and a lot of fun!
On the picture above on the right you can see my mother cooking, haha. She's got a Zara addiction lately and she's wearing here a shirt of Zara too.

Back in Town

I'm back in town for a few days and guess what, my computer totally crashed. The guy who's making it for always a nice price is out of town now, so I have to wait untill the end of the month when he got's back. Anyway, I had to download all my programs to an old (f')ugly laptop, so that took a few days. FROM NOW ON I'M BACK BLOGGIN', I PROMISE! First, I will show you my buyings from Gran Canaria.

To start with a great find: my snake ring.

Followed by my new french manicure nailpolish. Matches every outfit!

And some other beauty-shoppings: Lancome's Water-Resistant Oscillation vibrating mascara and Dior's Diorshow mascara.

My (new) perfumes: Daisy by Marc Jacobs (new!) and Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf (bought it again, the smell is so nice!)

This Mango sunglasses may be cheap, but I like them so much! It's different and it's beautiful!

Shopping in Vecindario

Today I went shopping in a big shopping centre in Vecindario, a large place in Gran Canaria. The shopping centre was called 'Atlantico'. It was very nice! There was a lot of 'rabajas' or sale, which was very nice. The thing is, here in Gran Canaria they don't know a tax of 19% but from 5%! I bought a nice studded shirt and some very nice sunglasses at Mango, three nice shirts at Zara, some french manicure nailvernish and a snake ring at Six. Pictures are coming later. Hi from Gran Canaria! I tried yesterday if I could use internet here, and I can! It's very nice here, the sun is shining whole day. Yesterday was my sisters birthday and we surprised her: we went swimming with sealions! It was a very nice experience and the animals were very friendly. I would do it again if I could. Tomorrow morning I will fly to this beautiful place. I'm flying from Amsterdam to Madrid for a short (two hours) stop and than I will fly to Las Palmas. I will be staying here for two weeks! I'm very excited to go and I'm sure it will be a great vacation, because I've been there last year too. The temperature is great: between 25 and 30 degrees. The only thing which isn't very nice, is that the people in Gran Canara are late with fashion. I didn't went to the capital, Las Palmas, last year, so I'm curious this year if they have some nice shops there. I'll hope I can update my blog sometimes, but I wouldn't promiss anything.

I whish ya'll a nice vacation! Let me know where you're going to on vacation, I like that!

The Harness necklace I bought a while ago, finally arrived! I like it very much, but I have to make it a bit shorter on the back side. When I'm wearing a blazer, you see the necklace underneath the blazer which doesn't look very pretty in my opinion. Well, I made some photo's of it! Let me know what you think... Like it better with white of with black?

Intake Outfit

Yesterday I had to have another intake interview, because I didn't graduated. I had an intake interview earlier for the Hotelschool, but I can't start untill I have my diploma. So yesterday I had to go to another school and this is what I wore:

My boyfriend and I went to the cinema yesterday. We went to Ice Age 3D (yes, in the real 3D version). The movie was great, very funny. Because it was a 3D movie, we had to wear very stylish -or not- glasses. I made a very sexy picture from my boyfriend wearing one:

Smoothie Time

When the weather is like the past few days, I have to make smoothies. Just because it's fun to do, to try new recipes and for thirst. Besides, it's healthy too!

Recipe for 4 glass
You need:
- a cup strawberries (I think there are about 20 strawberries in a cup)
- a cup curd (kwark)
- a half litre vanilla icecream

Next you:
put the strawberries in a blending machine. Blend the strawberries untill there aren't any big pieces in the blending machine left. Than you put the curd there. You mix everything together and than you put the icecream into the blending machine. Keep blending untill there aren't big pieces in it left, and you're smoothie is almost ready. Put it in the fridge for about a hour and bon apetite!

Lauren Conrad is one of my favorite celebs. She looks amazing and I've watched the Hills pure for her outfits (alright, and those from Whitney and Lo). As probably everyone already know, she wrote a book. Her book, L.A. Candy, seems to be a deliciously entertaining novel about what it's like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show. Who could write this better than Lauren who have experienced it all. I'm pretty curious to her book, but I don't want to read it in English, haha.But, what Lauren wore to the launch of her 'L.A. It Sucks So Much

It seems that 2009 isn't my year. I failed for my driving exam for two times in a row, I failed my very important french exam in May and now I didn't graduated... It feels like I don't have some kind of luck in my life left. But hey, I know it isn't that bad, but for now it sucks so much! Well, I have something positive to say, something that you might already know... Jimmy Choo is the next guest designer for H&M in November! Jimmy Choo is one of the best shoe-designers I know, so I'll definately try to score a real Choo in November.

For my private lessons for the French language, I have to go every day to Amsterdam. Yesterday I had some time left and I went to the Kalverstraat to have a look at Zara and H&M's. There was this veryyyy big sale at H&M's. Usually I hate sales. I hate it when people are running around and grab everywhere like crazy for some shirts for only 2 euro's. I went immediately to the H&M Trend/Pink Label section on the third floor. And also here was a big sale. So I bought a very cute blouse which I wanted for a loooong time, for only 15 euro's! Here's the combination I made with it yesterday:

Alright, I really have to share a great story with you fashionista's. It's not new for you to hear I'm a Zara lover... so I wouldn't bother you with that kind of story. The great story is actually, that my boyfriend is going to love Zara more and more. He hates shopping, that's a fact. And that's why he likes, that I sometimes buy clothes for him. He has always hated Zara, because of the messy store and because they have so much nice clothes, I never want to go away when I'm in a Zara store. The thing is, he now loves Zara because I bought a really really nice T-shirt for him. He adores his new shirt and he even loves me more, haha. I say: ladies, surprise your man with some nice clothes and he will love you more and maybe he will ever love to shop...

A Dermal Anchor, it sounds creepy when you hear the name for the first time. It'sactually a new way to pierce your body. And I looooove it. A Dermal Anchor is a piercing which is placed underneath the skin. You only see a little diamond on top of the skin. I'm still thinking about were in my body I should do it... I thought it would be nice in my wrist or between my boobs. Between the boobs sounds weard, but it's really beautiful! Look:

Real Addiction

To celebrate my exams are finally over, after a lot of stress and non-shopping, I had to shop. While making my exams, I looked forward for some shopping. Isn't that a real addiction? I bought some nice things at Zara, H&M and Mango (what a surprise) and I will show you those things later! I have to make pictures of it, but in the morning I don't look very attractive and in the afternoon I'm working 'till about eight o'clock. And most of the time when I'm home from work, the only two things I want are some food and my bed. Well, I promise I will make those pictures very very soon!

PS. I saw some veryyyyy nice things at ASOS today which I really want to have.. I think I have to look very sweet at daddy so I can borrow his creditcard, hihi.

And today I failed again. This time for my driving exam. Which was nog a surprise actually, because I haven't got any sleep this night because I got sick. So I spend my night on de badroom and I can tell you, there are some more comfortable places to spend your night.. I couldn't concentrate at all and I wasn't surprised when the examiner said I didn't pass. But hey, it sucks anyway!

Yeah it's true, I failed... For my oral french exam actually. Maybe you allready know, but after High School I really want to go to the Hotelschool. I did an intake-test, a long time ago, and I passed it! The problem was, I had to have a second language in my subjects and I hadn't. When I was doing the intake-test they told me I had to make a french reading exam and I thought I could do that. Now I think something went wrong, because three weeks ago, before the french test, I got a letter from the school and it said I had to do an oral exam. So I had only three weeks to prepare without any oral experience. Yesterday I had to do the test and I failed...

I hope I have some luck left somewhere, because tomorrow I have to do my driving exam...

Prom Party

Wednesday was my Prom Party! I've waited to post something about it, because I wanted to show you pictures of the party. First of all, it was a great party. I was nice to party with a lot of people you know and to say a little bit goodbye too, because the end is in sight... It's almost done for me with High School and I can finally go to the school I really want to go! (For the one who don't know yet what I want to do after High School: I want to go to the Hotelschool) For the next two and a half week I'll be busy with prepare and make my final exams. Unfortunately I haven't that much time left and I really have to focus on school only. That means for you, my blog will be boring those days. I'll tell you about the exams, but I will not post outfit posts or something...

But now it is time to see the pictures of my prom party!

I drove to the red carpet with three friends in my sisters brand new car: a vintage darkblue mini cooper!

With the guys wearing my first outfit: a black Patrizia Pepe cocktail dress with mango shoes.

With my bgf wearing my second outfit: an ASOS cocktail dress with an enormous bow on front of the dress. I wore this dress with the same shoes and leather-look leggings.
PS I decided to order the bunny jumpsuit from ASOS and when I received the package, I will show you the jumpsuit-outfit. That will be the last outfit post, I think, before the final exams begin.

Lately, I'm very into belts with something rare and jumpsuits. I'm looking for the right jumpsuit for a looong time, and just can't find the one which belongs to me. When I was checking out ASOS today, I found three jumpsuits which had my attention.

I have to apologize. I haven't updated my blog for a long time, and I am sorry. But last week I was busy voor school exams and this week I'm free! Well 'free' actually, because I have to work a lot. Which is a good thing, cause I can shop a lot, but it's a bad thing at the same time for my personal stuff. Today I went to Arnhem for a little shopping spree, which turned out very big actually. I've bought some things I was looking for, for a loooong time, I finally found the blouse I fell in love with and I'm going to do some DIY! I want to stud a simple black gilet I bought at H&M. Tips are very welcome, because it's my first DIY-project. But the problem is, it's already dark outside so I can't make good pictures. I'm hoping I can do it tomorrow after work...
